Wynelle "Nell" A. Deloney

Wynelle A. Deloney (Nell) Born August 29, 1927 on the family farm in Dodge County, Georgia to Willie (Bill) and Beatrice (Bea) Allen peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 9, 2015 at the age of 88 at her home in Walker County, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, a dedicated servant of God, and friend to all. Her strongest desire was for all of her family to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. She graduated from the University of Alabama, was a teacher, an excellent seamstress, and extremely active at First Baptist Church of New Waverly, its prayer chain and food bank. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, camping and fishing, getting together with family and friends, jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and playing games. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, John C. Deloney, Jr.; daughter Patricia Touzet; daughter Portia Sailor; son Wayne Deloney; daughter Denise Winborn and husband Mike; grandsons John Michael Strader and wife Amber, Eeron Frost, Evan Frost, Jack McMenamin, Nick Deloney and Michael Winborn; granddaughter Jessica Winborn; great-granddaughter Ellanora Strader; brothers Howard Allen and wife Lillian, and Don Allen and wife Pat; brother-in-law Bill Deloney and wife Julie; sister-in-law Sara Robertson; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Bea Allen; father-in-law John Deloney, Sr. and mother-in-law Mildred Deloney; sisters-in-law Hazel Lacey, Peggy Deloney, and Elaine Deloney; brothers-in-law Gene Deloney, and Pascal Robertson. Flowers are welcome. Memorial Tributes may be made to Nell’s favorite charities: First Baptist Church of New Waverly - Strader Missions (John and Amber Strader missionaries to Kenya), First Baptist Church of New Waverly or its Food Bank, Veteran’s Support Organization such as Lone Survivor Foundation and Wounded Warriors, or your favorite charity. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at First Baptist Church of New Waverly in New Waverly, Texas.
