William Henry Pichette

On the 13th day of October 2004, Dr. William “Billy” Pichette of Huntsville, Texas formally of Green Bay, Wisconsin went on to Heaven to rest in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. He goes to Heaven to see again his wife RoseMary, his mother and father Frank and Nellie Pichette, his sisters Rose Anne Donovin, Mary Ann Tong, Gen Paul, Sylvia Renier, Nancy Franckowiak, his brother Eugene Pichette and Norbert Pichette. He left behind a family who loved him so, daughters Holly, Mary Kay and her husband John, a son David and his wife Virginia, grandchildren Tina (Ben) Faithweather, Sarah Burkart and her fiance Mark, Ann Burkart, Gwen (Matt) Culbertsen, Jacob Berg, Kelsey Berg, Matthew Kalma; a great grandchild Kailey Culbertsen, his remaining sisters Sally Benz, Joan (Ron) Berken, Jane Quinette, Vonnie (Larry) McQuade. He has one remaining brother James (Bev) Pichette and many nieces, nephews and his very dear and special friend Bonnie. Bill was an educator for 40 years. He loved teaching and spent the last 25 years teaching at the University of Sam Houston in the school of Masters. He grew to love the State of Texas with its vast open spaces, but in heart, there was a place called Green Bay that kept calling him back. He spent many happy hours at his cottage in Townsend fishing and reading. He would say “ books are the windows to the world”. And I think he read them all. He will be missed by many for his loving heart and great sense of humor. He loved without question, he gave it and received it without question. He blessed this world with so many wonderful gifts. But the greatest was love. Today I’m sure he is singing with the rest of the Angels. For God gave him a beautiful voice to bring joy to the world. When he sang he became one with the Lord. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday October 18, 2004 at Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Depere', WI. Parish Wake Service 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Depere', WI. Visitation will continue after 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday October 19, 2004 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1307 Lourdes Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. at the church with the Rev. Tim Shillcox, O.Praem officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 Normal Park, Huntsville, Texas. Dearest Dad, when we were young you came into our life with open arms, loved us to the fullest, and gave us the most wonderful life. We are filled with unbearable sadness that we will never again laugh at your incredible sense of humor, hear you sing with your beautiful voice, or turn to you when we need your strength.
