Patrick Shane Glasgow

Patrick Shane Glasgow, age 7, of Huntsville, Texas died as a result of injuries sustained in a car crash near Franklin, Texas on March 14, 2018. Patrick was born on September 9, 2010 in Huntsville, Texas to parents Kristi and Rory Glasgow. He was a “welcome surprise” to the family and was adored by all. Patrick was a loving and empathetic child who loved music, video games, and playing with Legos. His favorite color was rainbow and he loved the Oz books by L. Frank Baum. He attended The Children’s House preschool before starting Kindergarten at Huntsville Elementary School. He was in first grade at the time of his passing. He adored his teacher, Mrs. Jamie, Mrs. Dowell, and Ms. Walker. Despite his young age, Patrick has a profound impact on a great number of people. His winning smile, gentle character, and loving nature made him a favorite wherever he went. He enjoyed visiting Huntsville’s play parks, seeing “Mr. Merle” at G&O Barbershop for a haircut, and eating at his favorite restaurants and treat shops: Luigi’s, Los Pericos, Daisy’s Diner, China House, Chicken Express, and 3 Spoons. He and his father were regulars at the SHSU Planetarium and Observatory. He also enjoyed going on walks and playing with his older brother, Bryan. Kristi and Patrick were an inseparable team in various activities around town, such as swim lessons, shopping, and playing at the park. Patrick was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Glasgow, aunt Karmyn Crabb, and great uncle Charles Crabb. He is survived by his parents, Kristi and Rory Glasgow, brother Bryan Glasgow, maternal grandparents Billy and Peggy Crabb, aunt Kelly Burns, uncle Lloyd “Beaver” Brown and cousins Shelby Burns and Emily Burns, and great Aunt Ruth Thompson. He is also survived by his special friends Anjelah, Natalie, Ricardo, Maritza, Ava, Peyton, Hunter, Decorian, Ms. Janet, Ms. Mills, Ms. Guzman, Ms. Elliott, Ms. AnnaBeth, Ms. Trenda, and Ms. Allison. Special thanks goes to the EMT’s, doctors, nurses, and staff of CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas; the faculty and staff of Huntsville Elementary School; the employees of the SHSU College of Criminal Justice Police Research Center; and the Fordyce family for their support of the family during this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM till 7:30 PM on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.
