Juanita H. Hinson (Hobson)

Juanita Helen Hobson Grisham Hinson Wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed into her Heavenly Home June 24th at 10:35am after a long and lengthy battle with cancer. She died peacefully at home with her family and close friend Betty Cook at her side. Juanita was born November 22nd 1931 in Leon County, Texas to Hance and Helen Hobson. She was born at home, delivered by a mid wife. Preceding her are her father Hance Hobson, her mother Helen Hobson. Sisters Patsy Hobson who died at childhood, Ada Bell Corcoran, and Margaret Lucas. Sister in law Ann Shafer. Surviving her are her husband E J (Pee Wee) Hinson, sons Larry and wife Martha Grisham, Tom and wife Debbie Grisham, Kenny and wife Karen Grisham. Brothers, Carl Hobson, Robert and wife Jean Hobson, Gerald and wife Jeane Hobson, Curtis and wife Beverly Hobson. Joe Shafer and wife Sue. Sister, Bennie Hobson and companion Fran Jacobs. Grandchildren, Chuck and wife Karen Grisham, Mark and wife Angela Grisham, Trisha and husband Jason McCaffety, Tiffany Grisham, Kelly Grisham, Jamie Coker, Lisa and husband Kerry Nampkin, Kody and husband Brooks Shepard, Kacey and husband Reagan Ratcliff. Great grandchildren, Laura, Hunter, Jacob and Chase Grisham, Aaron Skeens, Ashley and Austin McCaffety, Addison Trueheart, Lesley and soon to arrive Kameron Nampkin. And numerous nieces and nephews. Juanita worked as a dental assistant for 21 years. Then groomed dogs for 10 years. She also had a career with TDCJ where she worked as a dental assistant for 11 years before retiring at 71 years of age. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church from the first day the church started in the mobile home. She loved her church and her pastor Reagan and his wife Vickie Cooksey, her Sunday school class, her teachers and the members. She served as President and Vice president of her class and was still a Group Captain. She worked in the nursery, cooked and served for many funerals until her illness kept her from it. During her courageous battle with cancer she had a close walk with her Lord and loved serving others. With every conversation if you asked her, hi how are you? Her answer was always I’m fine, how are you? She loved to bake her favorite desserts for funerals and family dinners which were chocolate and coconut pies. Even when she was having difficulty standing due to the pain, she would sit in a chair to make her pies. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Northside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1207 FM 980, Huntsville, Tx 77320. Visitation will be from 3-5:00pm on Sunday, June 26 at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00am on Monday, June 27 at Northside Baptist Church with interment following at Clines Prairie Cemetery. Memorial condolences may be made at www.shmfh.com.
