Betty Jo Espinosa

Obituary for Betty Espinosa Mrs. Espinosa was born Betty Jo Flowers on May 23, 1933, to Jessie Lorene Falkner and Johnny Allen Flowers and passed from this earth on April 14, 2025. Mrs. Espinosa was 91 years 10 months and 19 days old at the time of her death. She was a high school graduate. She had many jobs in her life; she was a wife and mother. She also worked at Curtis Mathis manufacturing making televisions for over 10 years. Betty was a Christian woman and excepted Christ as her savior in Midland, Tx., where she attended Kelview Heights Baptist Church. She was active in church where she sang in the choir, was a nursery worker and helped with vacation Bible school. Betty and her husband Alfonso (Al) Espinosa retired to California in 1995 where she was active in the communities if Pine Flats and Hot Springs, California until April of 2021 when she moved to Texas where she lived with her daughter Donnia Singleton. Mrs. Espinosa was preceded in death by her parents Johnny Allen Flowers, Jessie Lorene Proctor, and Jim Proctor, her sister Claudia Marie, brother J. M. Flowers, her son Doyle Monroe Diebel, 4 husband's Wayne Diebel, Avery (Shorty)Swarts, Richard Sanders and Alfonso (Al) Espinosa, son in law Jim Singleton, and granddaughter Claudia Chastain Rebel. Mrs. Espinosa is survived by her brother Tommy Flowers and wife Joella Flowers, son Darrell Wayne Diebel, daughters Donnia Singleton, Deborah Morrison and husband Steven L Morrison Sr., grandchildren Steven L Morrison Jr. and Jennifer, Celina and Jason Comer, Kimberley and Virgil Littlejohn, Joseph Morrison and Tiffany, Christy and Monty Sample, Darrell Diebel Jr. and Kathy, Michelle and Mike Seals, Rebbeca and Tye Welch, 21 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM and services will begin at 10:00 Am at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville. She will be laid to rest at Oakland Memorial Park Cemetery in Athens, TX on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Memorial condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com.
