Roy Dean Rose

February 15, 1962 - January 17, 2022

Roy Dean Rose was born February 15, 1962, in Pasadena, Texas. A born-again Christian, beloved husband, dad and most importantly, the best "Pops" to his seven grandbabies. He instilled his love of Jesus, family, and the outdoors in his children. Over the years, he has enjoyed those passions with his grandchildren out camping, fishing, hunting, or playing on "The Farm." Roy always had a keen sense of thought and wanted to see Heaven. He had so many questions! We can rest knowing he is getting his answers, while looking down asking us, "Why you cryin'?" Roy is survived by the love of his life, Linda "Deanie" Rose of 38 years from New Waverly. Their children: Amanda Mullinax and husband Ryan of Conroe; Christopher Rose and wife Charmaine of Conroe; Stephanie Smith and husband Jeremy of Huntsville. His grandbabies, Tyler, Colton, Presley, Emma, Matthew, Jason, and Braxton were the light of his life and will carry on his legacy. His brothers: Cecil Rose of Friendswood, Daniel Rose and wife Jill of Houston, Pike Rose and wife Patricia and their children: Pikie, Coby, and Eileen of Pearland. He is preceded in death by his parents: O.C. and Marie Rose and his sister Yvonne "Diddy" Rose. He is loved by many more cousins, extended family, and friends. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Friday, January 21, 2022 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral in Huntsville, Texas, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be at noon at Mayes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, TX. For those able to attend, feel free to dress casually because Daddy did not like suits! In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude's or the Wounded Warrior Project in his name. Memorial condolences may be made to the family online at www.shmfh.com
