Ross Dorman was born February 22, 1937 in Oakwood, Texas. He passed away on June 24, 2022, in The Woodlands, Texas at the age of 85. Ross is survived by his wife of 65 years Dorothy Dorman, his daughters, Brinda Milliff, Connie McCaffery, Darlene Tomczak and Michelle Davis, his son David Smith, his son-in-laws Donnie McCaffery, John Tomczak and Brian Davis, his granddaughter Holly Stange and husband Kevin, granddaughter, Sara Carson and husband Scott, granddaughter, Chrissy Tomczak and Keith Forehand, granddaughter Jacelyn Welty, granddaughter Dianna McCaffery, grandson John McCaffery and wife Deana, granddaughter Breanna Soileau and husband Curtis, granddaughter Brittney Tomczak, grandson Trent Lauve and wife Brandi, granddaughter Bentleigh Davis, grandson Tanner Davis and granddaughter Morgan Smith. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. Ross was proceeded in death by his parents, Barney Dorman and Eva Cloud, his sister Ruby Hahn, his brother RC Dorman, his sister Robbie Dowdell, his sister Reba Smith and his sister Ruth Stark. He was also proceeded in death by his son-in-law James Milliff, his son-in-law Lenn Lauve and his grandson Chris Welty. Pallbearers are his grandsons, Kevin Stange, Keith Forehand, Scott Carson, John McCaffery, Trent Lauve, Tanner Davis and his great grandsons, Connor Carson and John Ross McCaffery, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are his son-in-laws, Donnie McCaffery, John Tomczak, Brian Davis and grandson Curtis Soileau. Ross was a strong, hard working and soft hearted man that was a pushover for kids. Everybody knew they could get Pawpaw to do anything they wanted. He loved holding babies. He also loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He worked at L & M Lumber Co for 50 years starting at the age of 14. He loved his family and he loved Mawmaw for almost 66 of his 85 years.
