Ronald "Big Foot" McMurrey

February 27, 1961 - December 4, 2020

Ronald (Big Foot/Foots) McMurrey was born February 27, 1961 and passed away December 4, 2020 at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife, Diane McMurrey, of 37 years, son Donnie McMurrey and wife Samantha, daughter Jessica Williams and husband Cody, son Brandon McMurrey and wife Susan, God daughter Hannah Horne and boyfriend Dylan Davidson, and Granddaughters, Shyann, Amelia, Emma, and Delilah. And many more family and friends. Ronald is preceded in death by his dad, Bennett Ray McMurray, mom, Lillian McMurray, daughters, Armelia, Tiffany, Deanna, and grandchildren Rosser and Baby McMurrey. Ronald was a big man with a giant heart, never meeting a stranger and helping anyone in need. Beginning his long career with the Texas Department of Transportation in 1979 and retiring from TXDOT with 32 years of service in 2011. Weather kept a special place in his heart, but that affection was nothing compared to the love he had for his family and friends. Ronald would brag about his wonderful children, but everyone knew of his lights of his life, his grandchildren, always with pictures on hand. Ronald loved his siblings with all his heart, cherishing every moment spent with them. He enjoyed the last 40 years with the love of his life Diane and shared many beautiful memories along the way.
