Robert Troy Turner

ROBERT TROY TURNER, age 53, a resident of Huntsville, TX., sadly gained his heavenly wings on August 2, 2023. Robert is proceeded in death by his father Harry Don Turner "Oscar" and his nephew Jason Don Turner. Robert is survived by his wife Gail Turner, mother Deborah Turner, son Tylor Turner, step-daughters Kristina & Stephanie, sisters Tammy & Shannon, brother-n-law Chuck, grandkids Cassie, Harper & Zayla, nieces Laci, Shaylen & Molly, great niece Maddilynn Paige, nephew Christopher, great nephews "Lil" Willie, Landon & Parker, numerous aunts, uncles & cousins, as well as an abundance of loving, caring and loyal friends, and his loving companion “Cooper”. Robert was brought into this life by his parents "Oscar" and Deborah Turner on August 26, 1969 in Houston, TX. At the age of 10 his family moved to Spring, TX where Robert would call home for 38 years. He attended Anderson Elm., Duiett, and Spring High. Making and building many lifelong friendships down through the years and marrying his wife Gail. At an early age Robert had a special love for sports, especially wrestling, baseball and football. He had an even bigger love and natural passion for music. He comes from a very large family of musicians, including his father. Although, he was raised on country, he had a whole lot of rock-n-roll in his soul. He loved spending time with his family and friends, jamming and attending concerts. He loved the outdoors and carried fond childhood memories that he loved to share; days spent in the country with his grandparents. It was there that he learned to fish, hunt and gig frogs. Robert was a custom trim carpenter and wood craftsman by trade; being taught by his father at a very young age and coming from a family of master woodworkers, it was a natural talent and he was beyond great at what he did. Robert was a loving husband, son, father and brother. He was the loyalist friend you could ever ask for. He was humble with a big heart and beautiful soul. He was full of charm, wit and humor. Robert had a "million-dollar smile" that would light up any room. It is with very heavy and broken hearts that we journey this new road without him. He will be missed beyond words, always. We'll see you on the other side... A service will be held on Saturday August 12, 2023 at 2:00pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville. Brother Beau Brown will officiate the service. The family requests that you join them at a reception that will be held later in the afternoon at J&L Events, 368 TX Hwy 75, Huntsville, Texas 77320 from 3:30pm – 6:30pm.
