Reesa Johnson
June 5, 1960 - April 21, 2022
Reesa was born in Houston, TX on June 5, 1960. She met Darrell Johnson in the third grade, and he was the absolute love of her life. They were married in '83 and their love led to two daughters, Amber and Naomi. Reesa taught her girls how powerful and rewarding it was to be a good wife and mother, which led to Reesa becoming a mother-in-law and the grandmother to four beautiful grandbabies. Reesa loved being a grandmother above all else. She grew up in church and knew the Lord as her personal Savior. Her faith and love in the Lord is how she gained her strength to fight throughout her cancer battle. Reesa reminded everyone around her that even though times were hard, kindness, love, and a contagious smile were the most valuable things in life. On April 21, 2022, Reesa Diane Hart Johnson, age 61, went to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents Bennie Reese Hart and Allie Ruth Price Hart, and grandparents Lee & Maggie Price, and Everett & Ester Pilgrim Hart. Reesa is survived by her husband Darrell Johnson, daughter Amber Brumlow and husband Travis, daughter Naomi Ferguson and husband Collin, and four grandchildren: Gracie Brumlow, Lucas Brumlow, Carson Ferguson and Kinsley Ferguson along with several other family members and friends that loved her dearly. Visitation will take place at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, TX on April 26, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Graveside services to follow afterwards at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Coldspring, TX at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make donations to the FBC Willis Youth Ministry. "When you get cancer and you finish treatment you get to ring the bell at MD Anderson. From the get go I told them that I was gonna ring that bell...that God was gonna heal me.....I may not have gotten to ring it in the hospital, but I guarantee I am ringing a bell in heaven....and that's a much better bell to ring!!!" -Reesa
