Patricia "Pat" Kubasta

Patricia “Pat” Kubasta, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at the age of 82. Born January 29, 1942, Pat spent her childhood in and around Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where she met her beloved husband Jim (deceased). After marrying in early 1964, they embarked on a lifelong adventure together, making homes in Southern California (twice), New Orleans, Scotland, and Houston (twice). Together with Jim, Pat lovingly raised three children and watched with pride as they grew up and began their own families and careers: Jodi Territo and her husband, Paul; Carrie Kubasta Burns; and Kelly Kubasta and his wife, Britnee. Pat (Grammy) loved nothing more than being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was so proud of each and every one of them: Samantha and Renee Territo; Randi Burns Gomez and her husband, Joe, and their four beautiful children; Joey Burns and his wife, Lauren; and Jameson and Averee Kubasta. Pat spent her working years as a homemaker. Ever the devoted wife and mother, she was always attentive to the needs of her husband and children. Her steady presence and hard work allowed each of them to feel immense love, security, and the vibrancy of life. As the wife of an oil and gas professional, Pat enjoyed the challenge and excitement of moving her family to several wonderful cities around and outside the United States. She made wonderful friends at every stop along the way, staying in close touch with many for decades. In her free time, Pat had a flair for art, a love for slots, and a fierce mindset for board games. Her family will forever cherish their time playing cribbage and Yahtzee with her. Throughout her life, Pat also gave much of her time to various service activities, including as a guardian for the elderly when she and Jim retired to Wisconsin. Pat made a positive lasting impression on the lives of many. After building and enjoying their dream home on Silver Lake in Wisconsin for close to twenty years following Jim’s retirement, Pat and Jim moved back to Texas to be near their children in their later years. While in Texas, they enjoyed many family dinner nights and extended time with all of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Pat leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will live on through her family and friends. A service will be held in honor of Pat’s life at 10:30 am on January 25, 2025, at Saint Mary Church in Plantersville, Texas.
