Mauro Antonio Flores Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mauro Antonio ‘Tony’ Flores was born on January 15, 1985 in Huntsville, Texas. He passed away in the comfort of his home on April 7, 2020 at the age of 35. Tony grew up in Huntsville, Texas where he attended school and graduated from Huntsville High in 2005. Even though he was fighting a physical battle, Tony was always compassionate and made sure each person he encountered had been helped. Tony’s contagious personality made him easy to love and be with friends, he was never too shy to dance a cumbia or two at family functions. He enjoyed the outdoors while taking his time to mow the lawn and smiling to the neighbors driving by. Tony was a true fan of the Houston Texans and Rockets as their main team color matched his favorite color red. In February 2018, Tony was diagnosed with Guillan-Barre Syndrome causing him to temporarily lose the ability to walk but never his hope to walk and dance again. Tony’s optimism and fight should be admired as it was as strong as Samson in the Bible. Tony was a Jehovah’s Witness and remained faithful until the end. His family and close friends witnessed how Tony beat every single obstacle by putting his trust in Jehovah God. His deep devotion to his faith is an inspiration to all. Tony is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving parents, Lorenzo and Isabel Salazar, brother Ronny Flores, sisters Rosibel and Amy Salazar, nieces Izabella and Alice Casanova, and many family and friends. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2020 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.
