Majill Ann Rohwer Tessem was born on August 14, 1933 in Cherokee, Iowa to Harold and Lucile Rohwer. Jill was older than her twin brother, Jack, by 15 minutes and she enjoyed reminding him that she was the oldest. Jill also had a younger brother, Tom, and a younger sister, Betty. Jill graduated from Park Rapids High School and entered the nursing program at Hamline University. Jill left college to marry Earl and raise four children. Jill completed her nursing degree after her children were grown. Jill worked as a nurse in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and as a consultant nurse. She assisted many families as an in-home care nurse. Jill shared her love through her quilts, cookies, and time. She generously shared her life with her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and friends. She loved attending weddings, baptisms, birthday parties, and family meals. Jill was preceded in death by both of her parents, her three siblings, and the father of her children. Jill is survived by her children: Steve and his wife Joanne, Ann and her husband Will Heidel, Kurt and his wife Sharon, and Ted. Jill is survived by nine grandchildren: Brynne, Nolan, Erik, Ashley, Chad, Justin, Blake, Chisholm, and Todd. Jill is also survived by ten great- grandchildren: Bailey, Avery, Hailey, Hunter, Decklen, Madison, Jayden, Tori, Piper, and Cooper. Jill will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews, and numerous cherished friends. Two memorial services celebrating Jill’s life will be held. The first service will be on Tuesday September 28, 2021 at 10 am at Sam Houston Funeral Home located at 20850 Eva St. in Montgomery, Texas. The second service will be held on Saturday October 16, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church located at 720 Floyd Rd. in Richardson Texas.
