Kyle Ray Bennett

Kyle Ray Bennett, 33, of Conroe, Texas went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Conroe. Kyle was born on Tuesday, September 25, 1979 in Conroe, Texas. He was a beloved son, father, husband and friend who loved his savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his father Mark Anthony Bennett and his maternal grandmother (MeMe) Betty Rae Henson Collins. He was survived by his wife Lynsie Argenti, daughter Kylie Bennett, and mother Donnel Collins Purse, his maternal grandfather (PePa) Donald Ray Collins, all of Conroe, Texas. Uncle Larry Zibilske and Aunt Candice Collins Zibilske and their children, son Jonathan and daughter Carrie Zibilske Booker and husband Jamie with their daughter Enza Rae, Uncle Randy W. Collins and Aunt Charlotte and their daughter Jessica. In-laws Mike and Kim Argenti and their children son Brian and his wife Gwen, daughter Chelsea Argenti Pappas and her husband Grant and their daughter Jade. At age seven his PePa took him to a BMX track for his first race. That trip to the track birthed a passion within Kyle that would take him on travels around the world where he became one of the smoothest and most accomplished riders that ever raced. Among his many professional BMX achievements, they include the National Bicycle League National No. 1 Pro titles in 2002, 2004 & 2007 along with the 2004 National Bicycle League’s Elite Men Grand National Championship. He was also the American Bicycle Association 2009 “AA” Pro Grand National Champion. He was the Union Cycliste Internationale Elite Men World Champion in 2002, 2003 & 2007. On May 10, 2008 Kyle Bennett became the first member on the US BMX Olympic Team for the Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. He earned the first automatic spot when he made the finals of the UCI World Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark on that date. He won the USA Cycling circuit's year-long point’s race with that finish. Even though Kyle raced professionally at the highest levels in the world of BMX, he was always a man with a wonderful, humble spirit who impacted many lives by doing for others whenever he could, which was often. Kyle was happiest when he was at home with his wife, Lynsie, or playing with his daughter, Kylie. Yet his most cherished moments in life were when he was working with children on the track, teaching them the basics of riding, along with the lessons of life. His approach to those lessons in BMX and in life was always simple and to the point. That was how he lived each and every day of his full life. The funeral services will take place on Saturday October 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Ark Church which is located at 450 Humble Tank Road, Conroe, TX 77304 The family would like to thank the many people around the world who have reached out to them with their love and support.
