Juan Cano Jr. “Johnny” passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 to be with our Lord and Savior. He was born on February 27, 1979 in Huntsville, Texas. He graduated from Huntsville High School in May, 1998. Johnny is survived by his children Matthew Isaiah Cano, Aryana Giselle Cano, Landen Juan Cano, Ashlyn Cano, Lance Ethan Cano, Mason Aiden Cano, Joaquin Gavin Cano, Brielle Everleigh Cano, and his wife of 20 years Roxana Ortiz-Cano. Johnny is also survived by his mother, Silvia Saldana Garcia, and father Juan Cano. He is also survived by his brothers, Carlos Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Joel Cano, and Eric Cano; and sister Marlen Cavalier. His maternal grandfather Ramiro Saldana, and paternal grandfather Gonzalo Cano. Johnny is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members, too many to name. He is preceded in death by his brother Jacquin Humberto Cano, sister Blanca Estella Cano, maternal grandmother Herlinda Saldana, and paternal grandmother Maria de la Luz Castilleja. Johnny’s family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Sam Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Reyes officiating. Interment will follow at Mayes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Cano, Landen Cano, Carlos Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Daniel Ortiz, Xavier Flores, and Ramiko Lucero. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ernesto Garcia, Cruz Cano, Joseph Ortega, Joel Borbor, and Joe Saldana. Johnny was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed hosting family gatherings, singing karaoke, dancing, family outings, and spending time with his children. He was known for his outgoing personality and the positive energy he radiated when he entered a room. He will be cherished in all our hearts and memories.
