June 29, 1947 - April 12, 2022

Francis Allen Hoffer, 74, passed away on April 12, 2022, in Willis Texas Allen Hoffer was born on June 29, 1947 in Kingsville, TX, to Francis Antone Hoffer and Elza Clementine Hoffer. Allen graduated from Harlingen High School and went on to earn a degree from Delmar Tech. After school, Allen was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. Post discharge, Allen began his career as a mechanic. Ultimately, he found his calling as a Property Manager (Ranger) for the San Jacinto Girl Scouts for 27 years. Allen married Linda Mason on November 9, 1974 in Houston, TX. The couple had two children, Bonnie and Melissa. Allen was best known for fast cars, coin collecting, bowling, and taking long naps. Allen is survived by wife Linda Hoffer of New Waverly, daughter & son-in-law Bonnie & Cullen Widener of New Waverly, daughter Melissa Martin of Willis, grand-daughter and husband Zoe & Tyler Colson, as well as grand-daughters LeAnn, Megan, & Brianna, grandsons Toby & Halbert III, sister-in-law Lana Hoffer, niece Wendy and Daniel Toups, niece Angie and Brian Roberts, as well as many other important family members and friends. Allen is preceded in death by his Father Francis Antone Hoffer, Mother Elza Clementine Hoffer, and Brother Bob Hoffer The service for Allen will be held at 11:30 AM Monday April 18th, at First Baptist Church of Willis (12177 I-45 N Willis, TX) with military graveside honors conducted at Willis Cemetery (Cemetery Ln Willis, TX - Next to the American Legion Post 618) directly after.
