David Neal Ward

November 24, 1959 - January 20, 2021

David Neal Ward, 61 of Montgomery, Texas was born on November 24, 1959 to Billy John and Verdie Alice Ward in Houston, Texas. David went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. David graduated from MacArthur High School in 1978. After High School, David worked as a machinist before finding his calling as a public servant in 1983. David proudly worked for the Houston Police Department for 31 years before he retired in 2014. After his retirement, he devoted his time to his family, including his wife, children, and six grandchildren, who he absolutely adored. David is survived by his loving wife; Lisa Minsky Ward of Montgomery; as well as his children, son Dustin Ward and wife Krystal of Katy, son Shaun Ward and wife Jennifer of Katy, daughter Amy Ivey and husband Michael of Magnolia, and daughter Anne White of Montgomery. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren Bryan and Brandon Ivey of Magnolia, Chelsea Ward of Katy, Colton, Ashtyn, and Emersyn Ward of Katy; along with three step grandsons, Caden, Colton, and Cameron Ivy of Magnolia. David also leaves behind two siblings, Rick Ward and wife Janie of Cypress and Debbie Ward of Spring; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his mother and father, Billy and Verdie Ward; as well as his wife’s parents, William and Joanne Minsky. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Ward at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas on January 28, 2021 at 11am. Loved ones will gather after the memorial to pay tribute to Mr. Ward at his home in Montgomery.
