Daniel Dean Thomasson - lovingly known as Danny, 63 of Centerville, Texas suddenly passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Centerville, Texas. He was born on July 25,1957 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Daniel Tylas Thomasson and Doris Seifert Thomasson. He was a graduate of Huntsville High School. Dan was a loving Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend and Dog Dad. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Sandra Lynn Thomasson of Centerville; Mother, Doris Seifert Thomasson of Huntsville; Sister, Vera Thomasson Johnson & Brother-in-law, Jay Johnson of Huntsville; Son, Curtis Lynn Newcomer and Fiancé Stephanie of Kingwood; Grandsons, Tylas Patrick Newcomer of Moss Hill & Nash Jameson Newcomer of Kingwood; Mother-in-Law Linda Rollins, numerous relatives in Germany, and Dog, Bullet. Dan was preceded in death by his Dad, Daniel Tylas Thomasson and Brother, Cleo Glenn Thomasson. Dan's favorite pastime was hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He loved tinkering and repairing things the MacGyver way and was ready to help others at a moment’s notice. He had a kind heart, a gentle soul, was quick with a smile, was a hard worker, and loved to make people laugh. Dan had the wonderful personality qualities that made you feel wanted, included, and that you were always in his mind’s eye. It didn’t matter if you had just seen him yesterday, or it had been three years ago, the next time you saw him again, it was like you had never been apart. Dan was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by his family and close lifelong friends. The love and respect of his family and friends combined with the characteristics listed above, all attest to the type of person Dan was and the life he shared with us while on this Earth. Dan will truly be missed. Memorial Service will be on December 12, 2020 at 1pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Huntsville, Texas. Visitation will immediately follow the service.
