Claudia Rebel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Claudia Rebel went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 15, 2022 in Huntsville, Texas. She was born on March 1, 1975 to Donnie and Donnia Chastain and graduated from Killeen High School in Killeen, Texas in 1994. She also pursued a degree at ITT and received an Associates of Computer aided Drafting and Design on December 18, 2012. Claudia was proud that she was the first one in her family to graduate from college and at that, did so with honors. Claudia is survived by her loving husband, Dean Rebel, whom she married on September 9, 2000. She is survived by her children, Brittanie Chastain, Michael Goldberg, Jodi Rebel, Keli Rebel, and Tia Rebel. She is also survived by her mother, Donnia Singleton; and those like parents to her, Larry and Kay Bubert. Claudia is survived by her grandma, Betty Espinosa, and sister Christy Sample. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Singleton and Donnie Chastain. She is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Lynn and Margie Chastain and Al Espinosa. Her life was marked with achievements and hobbies, to be noted in remembering who she was. Claudia was a confirmed Well's Lutheran. She was a proud mom and her kids were the center of her life. She maintained a 3.5 or higher attending college at ITT. Claudia worked with FEMA after hurricane Harvey and made lots of friends that are to this day along with some certificates recognizing her labors. Claudia became the assistant manager of a local Dollar General Store in 2019 and was well liked by customers. She liked crossword puzzles, reading, scrapbooking, fishing and camping. Many did not know that she was dyslexic, as she worked hard to overcome the issue by crossword puzzles and reading. The family is asking you to remember her on Sunday June 26, 2022 at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. The visitation will be at 1:00 pm and the service will be at 2:00 pm. A dinner will follow for the family at Restoring Hope Church located at 1304 A Sam Houston Avenue in Huntsville, Texas 77340. It is requested that no flowers be sent and any donations would be welcomed to give in her name to the American Cancer Society or the Go Fund Me Page set up to help cover cost of her medical care and funeral service.
