Yolanda Butler

Yolanda (Uresti) Butler, of Colquitt, Georgia, passed away on November 22, 2022, at the age of 73. She was the daughter of the late Amando R and Emma Mary (Garcia) Uresti. Yolanda was born in San Benito, Texas on August 22, 1949. She was the middle child and the only daughter of three children. She had two brothers that she loved dearly. The oldest was the late Rudolpho "Rudy" Uresti, and her younger brother Steve Uresti who still resides in Riverside Texas with her Nephew Stephen Uresti Jr. From Rudy, Yolanda had 2 Nieces: Lisa and Norma, and 2 Nephews: Mondo and Danny. Yolanda spent most of her time growing up in San Benito while her mother was a Nurse and Father worked for CP&L light company. She graduated from San Benito High School, Class of 1968 and married Cayetano Garcia in 1969. Together they raised their Adopted Son Christian in Spring Texas. She had many clerical jobs and ended up retiring from Garret Aviation. After 29 years of marriage and 18 years later she remarried to Curtis Butler and moved to Georgia to be with him till her passing. Together they traveled the southeast part of America while he worked as a Crane Rigger. She had a great time with all the wonderful friends she made and got to know while being with Curtis and those that lived in Georgia. Yolanda's Son Christian Married Theresa Torres and together they gave Yolanda 4 Granddaughter's- Mercedes, Alexus, Hailey and Arianna, and 3 great-grandchildren Cesar, Easton and Odyssey She was a woman of strong opinions and was not afraid to let you know those opinions. She was particularly good at making friends and connecting with people. She loved animals and had many pets from Birds, Dogs, Cats, Chickens and even Horses. She loved her 3 Chihuahua's and would take them anywhere she went. Yolanda was a huge fan of Tejano and Country music and loved to dance. Upon My Mother's wishes she did not want any Funeral or Services but for you to only remember the good times. My Mom is gone but the thought of her sitting with grandma comforts me the most.
