Tommy Shane Norman

Tommy Shane Norman better known as "Papa Shane" joined his Heavenly Father at the young age of 45 on February 1, 2017. He was born in Breckenridge, TX on October 3, 1971. Shane is survived by the love of his life Patsy J. Leal; daughter Raven J. Norman; step-daughter Monica Twardeski and husband Rodney; the grandsons he cherished so much Timothy Watson III and Trevor Twardeski; brothers Shad Green, Shaun Norman, John Kelly Norman, and Michael Kelly; sisters Shaunda Norman and Crystal Waller; stepmother Sharon Young Norman; great-grandmother Norma Norman; aunt Beverly Hutton; uncle Kelly Norman; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Shane is also survived by his in-laws Diego and Irene Leal, Sandra, Steve and Steven Uresti, Ben and Rocio Leal, Ramon and Chris Leal, Ramiro and Mary Alice Leal, Able Leal, Ray and Judy Twardeski, Lee and Shelly Beaird, Robert and Jessica Twardeski, and Sadie McMahon (aka G.G.). Shane will always be remembered by a host of Oil Field Brothers that held a special place in his heart. Shane is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Tommy Norman and Mrs. Linda Williams. Shane was a tough hard working man who called the Oil Rig his second home as he spent his whole life working in the Oil Field. He was a Driller, Derek Hand, and the best Chain Hand there ever was. He lived every day of his life to the fullest. Shane loved spending time with Raven going on kayaking adventures, sightseeing and fishing with Patsy. He loved being outdoors and spending time at the beach. He was quite the cook and enjoyed cooking elaborate meals for his family and entertaining. Shane could light up any room, the moment he walked in his presence was known with his contagious laughter and crazy expressions. Music was also a special part of his life. If you had the joy of spending time with Shane, you would surely be singing along with him. Shane was especially known for his extreme generosity. He never met a stranger. He left people better off than when he found them. If you were with Shane you could bet he was going to make your day “marvelous” (his favorite word) with the best hot meal you’ve ever had and he was sure going to share the story of Jesus with you. His Sunday routine was church and then home to watch the Dallas Cowboy game with his wife Patsy. Shane was a man that had a heart for God and did his best to share that with others. He loved being in the House of The Lord. He would often say that was a place of comfort and peace for him. Shane was saved and baptized as a young man but as an adult he had recommitted strongly to his faith and was water baptized alongside, with the love of his life, Patsy, grandson Trevor and family members Shelly and Lee Beaird, on Sunday, January 28, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church. Our hearts are broken but we will live on knowing he is in the Big Rig in the Sky with our Lord and Savior. Pallbearers are Lee Beaird, Michael Norman, Jason Peveto, Steven Uresti, Jr., Timothy Watson III, Robert Twardeski, and Rodney Twardeski. In special celebration, all are welcomed to wear BLUE in remembrance of Shane’s favorite color, which symbolizes his love for the Dallas Cowboys and the sea. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 6, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church, 3122 Montgomery Road, Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow at Brooke Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
