Sue Fraser Watts Fallin

Sue was born February 8, 1933 to Shiles Moore and Annie Brown Fraser, on their farm in Walker County, near Huntsville, Texas. While growing up, Sue enjoyed participating in many school activities and singing in the choir at church. After graduating from Huntsville High School, she attended Sam Houston State University where she met Marshall Watts. They soon married and moved to Houston. After a stint as an Army wife in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, they returned to Houston, where Sue held her favorite job-being a mother to Suzanne, Maurice, and David. During that time, their family was very involved at Long Point Baptist Church, where Sue made many life-long friends. She loved attending their "Valentines Group" gathering which continues to meet each year. In 1975 (following a divorce), Sue enrolled in the Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program at Memorial City Hospital. Soon after graduation, Sue and her son David, moved to Huntsville. During that time, she also joined Daughters of the Republic (D.R.T.). In 1977, Sue met and married William (Bill) Fallin and inherited three more sons; Michael, Patrick, and Richard Fallin. In addition to mothering two teenage boys, Sue returned to Sam Houston State University and completed her bachelor's degree. She worked several different jobs over the years, including ten years as the Secretary for First United Methodist Church of Huntsville and over 8 years with Brian B. Smith with Financial Planner. Sue was very devoted to her family and spent as much time as possible with her parents, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Sue and Bill enjoyed many happy years in Huntsville, where they were active members at University Heights Baptist Church. She loved entertaining and sharing her love of Jesus with everyone she met. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Shiles and Annie Fraser, Husband William (Bill) Fallin, Sisters Virginia Fraser, Margaret Hubbell, and Frances Strother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: Daughter - Suzanne Britton-Ohl (David), Sons - Maurice Watts (Carol), David Watts, Mike Fallin (Dorothy), Pat Fallin (Christina), Rick Fallin (Elizabeth), Sister- Mary Brown, Brother- Shiles Fraser (Rose), eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Huntsville, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday September 10, 2022. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 am. A brief graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 903 Ninth Street, Huntsville, Texas.
