Ronald Lee Ferguson

Ronald Lee Clayton Ferguson, 63, died at his home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, surrounded by his family after a painful but valiant battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Pat (Terry) Ferguson; his 2 sons, Dr. Andrew L. Ferguson, PhD & Brian Ferguson, all from Montgomery TX, ; His mother, Melba (Pearson) Ferguson, his brother Frank & wife Mateldia (Bruner) Ferguson from Porter TX, ; His sister Gloria (Ferguson) & husband Vernon Baker, of Willis, TX; His mother in law, Anne (Ainsley) Terry & brother in law Phillip Terry both from Humble, TX, ; His step mother in law Maxine (Findley) Terry of Willis TX, ; Sister in law Pamela (Terry) & brother in law Bob Ford from Galveston TX, ; Sister in law Diana (Terry) & husband Steve See from Houston, TX. Along with Aunts, Uncles many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born and raised in Houston, TX. After marriage, Ronnie (he liked to be called Ronnie) and Pat moved to Porter for over 20 years then moved to Montgomery TX. In his early years, Ronnie was a calf roper which is how he met his future wife Pat. They were married on December 6th, 1974, After 7 years of marriage, Ronnie and Pat became proud parents in 1981 and 1982. He coached his two boys in baseball, football and basketball. He was always known as Coach Ronnie. He loved to hunt, fish was great at barbecuing and welding BBQ pits. There was nothing he could not do. Ronnie worked very hard to earn his master plumbing license. He worked for various plumbing companies then,needing time to spend with his boys, worked for Sheldon ISD as a plumber for 10 years, Humble ISD as a Master Plumber then MEP Supervisor for 17 years and finally New Caney ISD as a new construction inspector of school’s for 3 years. 3 years ago, Ronnie and Pat purchased 50 acres close to Mountain Home, Arkansas and were about to retire. Ronald was a Christian and said he was prepared to be with the Lord, but wasn’t ready to go just yet. He was a member of Benui Baptist Church in Montgomery, TX. This is the same church his Grannie and Papaw attended. It is over 100 years old. Ronald loved his family and was always there when needed. We miss him tremendously, but now he is no longer in pain. We will see him again in Heaven. There will be a celebration of life on July 20th from 11AM to 2PM at New Caney ISD community center. You may leave written memorials at www.shmfh.com
