Rhonda Gail Colburn

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rhonda Gail Colburn, who departed suddenly on August 7, 2026, at the age of 66. Rhonda was born on September 25, 1959, to her loving parents Huey Menard and Elizabeth (Betty) Menard-Anderson in Orange, TX surrounded by her large family. Rhonda went on to marry her one true love, Robert Colburn. The two were married March 12, 1982, and continued to cherish each other unconditionally every day. They went on to raise six children who gave them 19 beautiful grandchildren, but she had an impact on so many people. Rhonda was such a caring person, never letting anyone feel like they weren't important, and always going out of her way for others that most people wouldn't bother to. She brought so much joy, always managing to make people laugh even when it seemed impossible. She changed so many lives and is so loved and will be missed deeply. Rhonda is survived by her loving husband Robert Colburn. Children: Robert II (Rocky) & Angelita Colburn, Felicia Colburn-Hollingsworth & Miranda, Thomas (Tommy) & Jennifer Colburn, Priscilla & Chris Doyal, William (Billy) & Branigan Colburn, Candice & Charles Skeens. Grandchildren: Rachelle Colburn, Robert Colburn III, Callie Whitlock, Payton Mitchell, Chloe Whitlock, Corey Shaw, Billy Madison Jr., Abbygail Colburn, Thomas Colburn II, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Colburn, Mia Cavallini, Brittany Klaus, Sara Doyal, Kaylei Colburn, Daniel Colburn, Castin Skeens, Katelyn Skeens, Lexie Voytko, Dalton Skeens. Siblings: Huey Jr. & Debbie Menard, Roger & Marla Menard, Ava Anderson, Amy & Gil Stoner, and Audrey Richey. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father Huey Menard, her mother Elizabeth (Betty) Menard-Anderson, her stepfather Aubrey Anderson, her brother Richard Menard and her twin sister Wanda Morrison. Rhonda will be remembered lovingly for her remarkable kindness, her unbreakable spirit, and her unbelievable ability to stay positive in the most trying times. She was such a beautiful soul, and she will be missed dearly. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 5pm-8pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, with a rosary beginning at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 10:30am. She will be laid to rest at Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst following the service.
