Rebecca "Becky" L. Bilnoski

Rebecca Lou Shaw Bilnoski went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Becky was born in Pasadena, Texas to Clifford Lee Shaw Jr. and Dorothy Rose Shaw on August 28, 1956. Becky was a graduate of Galena Park High School where she was a twirler and award-winning flutist and piccoloist. Her love for music would carry on throughout her life. Her particular fondness of Rock n Roll and country music would later pass down to her children and grandchildren. She married the love of her life, Marvin Bilnoski Jr. on June 5, 1976. Butch and Becky settled in Highlands, TX where Becky devoted her life to raising her two children, Buck and Leah, and later loving her grandchildren. Becky was a devout Catholic and often walked to the 6am mass as a child. She later became the secretary for Our Lady Fatima Church and School. Following her move to Highlands, she taught catechism classes at St. Jude’s Catholic Church ensuring her children received their religious education. Becky was an enthusiastic lover of all sports and could cite statistics better than most analysts. She loved Texas sports teams and was a lifelong fan of the Astros, Texans, Rockets, and Texas A&M Aggies. She was especially fond of girls’ sports and spent many of her years in Highlands helping with the Highlands Sports Association and coaching girls’ softball. Becky often called her home an animal sanctuary and was known to care for many stray animals including an occasional pet squirrel or two. Becky was a devoted wife, selfless mother, and beloved Grandma. She will always be loved and remembered. She is preceded in her death by her parents, Clifford Jr. and Dorothy Shaw; brother, Clifford Lee Shaw III and granddaughter, Lily May Morris. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, “Butch” Marvin Bilnoski Jr.; her children, “Buck” Marvin Bilnoski III (Amanda) and Leah Bilnoski Morris (Casey); her grandchildren, Kayleigh Bradshaw, Keaton Bradshaw, Matthew Morris, Lena Morris, and Micah Morris; her brother, Philip Shaw (Belinda); her sister, Christie Adams and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are to be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Waverly, TX, with the burial to follow at Elmina Cemetery.
