Patricia Ann Piatkowski Patricia Ann Piatkowski (née Martin), beloved wife of Robert Earl Piatkowski, was called home on May 26, 2013, at the age of 69. She was a long-time resident of Huntsville, TX. Pat was born in Baton Rouge, LA, on February 25, 1944 to Curtis and Dorothy Martin. She is survived by her husband, Bob Piatkowksi, and their children, Ronda Lynn Jones (Mark) of Houston, TX, and Brian Keith Piatkowski (Debra) of Conroe, TX. She also is survived by her four grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Piatkowski, Bennett Wade Piatkowski, Caitlin Arianna Jones, and Alexa Nicole Jones. Pat also leaves behind her three sisters, Nell Baker of Mineral Wells, TX, Elaine Roberts of Friendswood, TX, and Tonyah Spears of Santa Fe, TX. Pat met and married the love of her life, Bob, in Big Spring, TX, on August 17, 1962. During her time in Big Spring, she became an LVN. In 1972, Bob and Pat moved with Ronda and Brian to San Antonio, TX, where they spent the majority of their life. In San Antonio, Pat went back to school to obtain a B.S. in Nursing and dedicated her life to taking care of others. In 1986, she moved with Bob to Huntsville where she continued to work as an RN, known as “Ms. P.” to her friends and colleagues, retiring from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2003. Pat’s life took on a new and beautiful role as she watched with joy as her four grandchildren entered her life. Pat dedicated her life to her family, and was happiest when surrounded by them. Her smile and laughter lit up a room, and she never knew a stranger. The kindness she bestowed on others is the one phrase her family remembers hearing the very most. She left an indelible print on the hearts of everyone she met. We will forever treasure the poem we found, the one you left for us in your night table; you are right, it is wonderful. Although we will miss you more than words can relay, we know your body is now free of all pain. The hands you so gently guided us with are now once again whole. May you walk and dance with the angels each and every day to make up for the time you were unable to do so while here on this earth. You filled our hearts with abounding love. We will hold you close in our hearts until the day we see you again. "We feel the greatest loss for those with whom we have shared the greatest love." Visitation will be held at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, TX, on Wednesday May 29th, from 10:00 to 11:30 am. A memorial service will take place from 11:30 am until noon. A private committal will be held at the Houston National Cemetery.
