Patricia Nell Cox

Patricia Nell Cox went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2018 after a coura-geous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on October 26, 1944 in Crockett, Texas to Gracie Lee Peterson and Edward James Peterson. She was a loving homemaker, mother, wife and active member in church throughout her entire life. Patricia met the love of her life Roy Cox in Pasadena, TX. They were married on July 16, 1960 and were happily married for 57 years. Patricia and Roy moved from Pasadena, TX to Riverside, TX in 1976, where they raised their children in the ways of our Lord and Savior and built their home. Patricia was a member at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, TX for over 18 years where she and her husband were active members of their Sunday school class. Her love for Jesus Christ and studying His Word was the most important aspect of her life. Raising a family that followed Christ and knowing that all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren accepted Jesus as their personal Savior was her ultimate goal. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Roy Felding Cox, her mother Gracie Lee Peterson, her father Edward James Peterson, and her brother-in-law Woodrow Archer. She is survived by her sister Neda Dorsett and her husband Bill; brother Jerry Peterson and his wife Nina; sister Frederica Archer; son Mike Cox and his wife Linda Cox; son Mark Cox; son Thomas Cox and his wife Paula Cox; daughter Susan Cooke and her husband Trent Cooke; son Daniel Cox and his wife Beth Cox; grandchildren Casey Clarke; Michael Paul Hudson and his fiancé Megan; Michael Ray Cox; Justin Cox and his wife Kristina; Roy Cox and his wife Kendra; Ashliee Lopez and her husband Isaac; Cody Cooke and his wife Sara; Katie Byrd and her fiancé Dustin Ali; Jesica Cox; Jacob Cox; Addisyn Cox; Ashlyn Cox; great grandchildren Aiden Clarke; Carter Benton; Kelton Thomas; Emma Hudson; Weston Cox; Corbyn Hudson; Reese Cox; and Hadley Cooke. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a donation to The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in honor of Patricia and all the others that are bravely fighting cancer.
