Mary Kathryn Kelley Mary Kathryn (Katie) Kelley, 90 of Deer Park was taken to her heavenly home on December 16, 2010 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Haskell, Oklahoma on March 4, 1920 to George and Alta Etta Neptune. Katie’s family moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, Stanley Kelley. They married February 12, 1939. Stanley and Katie and their 3 sons relocated to Pasadena where Stanley worked for Phillips Petroleum for over 40 years while Katie provided a loving home for her family. They added a daughter to the family after arriving in Texas. Katie and Stanley did everything together. They were charter members of South Avenue Baptist Church in Pasadena where Katie helped start the nursery for the church and was very active in the operations for years. She remained an active member of the church. Katie and Stanley loved to travel and had many friends in various retirement groups that brought them years of enjoyment. Katie was also a current member of the Chamber Golden Division and the Deer Park AARP. Those who were blessed to know Katie enjoyed her gentle loving spirit. Always smiling and always loving, she touched many lives over the years. She was the heart of her family that she kept so dear. Her life revolved around her 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. Katie liked nothing better than to spend time with her family and has left a legacy of love for all to cherish. She was preceded in death, but joined in Heaven by her loving husband of 62 years, Stanley; her beloved son Ronnie; her parents, brother and 3 sisters. She leaves to treasure her love always, her son Stanley C. Kelley, Jr. and wife Vicki of Alpine, Daughter-in-Law Annetta Kelley of Deer Park, son Bob Kelley and wife Nancy of Pearland, daughter Kay Carnes and Son-in-Law Darrel of Huntsville along with her extended family. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Pasadena Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will also be held at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, Tuesday at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jim Overton from South Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Huntsville at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Oakwood Cemetery, Adickes Addition.
