Mary Louise Huston-Harrell

Mary Louise Huston-Harrell, 67, left this world to be with her lord and savior Monday, January 16th 2012 in Conroe, Texas, following a very courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 8th, 1944 in Wenatchee, Washington to Charles Victor Huston and Joyce Elizabeth Vickrey. She graduated from Eastmont High School, East Wenatchee in 1963. In 1964 she married Melvin Harrell Sr. and together began a family in the town of Grand Coulee, Washington. In 1977 she became involved with the Emergency Medical Technician program and earned her certificate allowing her to work in the Ambulance with the Grand Coulee Fire Department as an EMT. This service to others inspired her to a caregiver position at Coulee Community Hospital which ultimately laid the groundwork for a later pursuit of a nursing degree and her work caring for others at the Wenatchee Valley Clinic. After almost 30 years in the medical field, she retired in 2007 and moved to Texas to be closer to her immediate family including her grandchildren. She was a member of the commanders club for the Disabled American Veterans. She is survived by her sister Carol Chandler, Post Falls, Idaho, brother’s John Huston, Grand Coulee, Washington, Mike Huston, Marysville, Washington and Jim Lawson, Sunnyvale, California. Sons, Damon Harrell Sr., Houston, Texas, Melvin Harrell II, Montgomery, Texas, Nathan Harrell USAF Beale AFB, California, Zack Harrell, Wenatchee, Washington and their father Melvin Harrell I, Grand Coulee, Washington. Daughter In-Laws, Kym Harrell, Lisa Harrell, Brandi Draper-Harrell. Grandchildren Lacey Morris-Harrell, Damon Harrell Jr., Stephanie Harrell, April Harrell, Tonya Harrell, Melvin Harrell III, Sarah Harrell, Kyler Harrell. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.She was predeceased in death by her father, Charles Victor Huston, mother, Joyce Elizabeth Vickrey, niece Becky Raatz and her beloved dog “Buffy”. A graveside service and interment will be held at the Cashmere Cemetery, Saturday, April 28th, 2012, at 11am in Cashmere, Washington. A remembrance reception will be held in Cashmere Riverside Center following the graveside services, food and refreshments will be served.
