Mary Kathryn Feldman

Mary Kathryn Fischer Feldman, born on June 20, 1931 in Hamilton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 22, 2014. Mary was a loving and gracious wife, mother and friend. She devoted her life to God and others and loved her family more than anything. She was a genuine, loving, beautiful and fun person who touched everyone she met. She will be missed by many. Mary was united in marriage with Robert David Feldman on August 6, 1955 in Hamilton, Ohio. Their marriage was blessed with the birth of four children: Lance, Stephanie, Melanie and Mark. Mary and Bob lived in many places, treasuring the close friends made in each one. They met in Hamilton, Ohio and lived in Springfield, OH, Houston, TX, Akron, OH, Scottsdale, AZ, and finally Conroe, TX. Texas, however, was home. After retiring, Mary & Bob built their dream home and continued to make many very close friends. These close friends became part of the family. Mary and Bob liked nothing more than bringing their extended family together. Mary was a graduate of the University of Ohio and also earned a degree in interior design from Arizona Community College. She taught elementary school until she was married, and later spent many years in the interior design business in Arizona and Texas. Mary was an active volunteer with many organizations, including the Women’s Board of the Ohio Ballet, April Sound Ladies Association, the Assistance League of Montgomery County, and St. Mary’s Corner Shop. Mary was an adventurer, always ready to try anything and go anywhere on a moment’s notice. She and Bob took many trips and cruises to Europe, Hawaii, and many other places throughout the United States & Canada. Among those left behind to mourn Mary’s death and to celebrate her life are her children, Lance and his wife Mavis of Willis, TX; Stephanie and her husband Peter Poorman of Plano, TX; Melanie and her husband Randy Rippentrop of The Woodlands, TX; and Mark and his wife Kris of Magnolia, TX. “GrandMary” is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Gracia, Jacob, David and his wife Chelsea, Megan, Lauren, Kort, Kole, Mason and Grant; as well as sisters Florence Fischer Hetterich and her husband Marc, and Joan Fischer Rosebrook. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, parents Joe and Loretta Fischer, and her brother Jack Fischer. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 4-6 PM at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas. A funeral mass will be Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas.
