Lloyd Hugh Henderson

Lloyd Hugh Henderson Lloyd was born May 25, 1937 in Zwolle, Louisiana and walked through the gates of Heaven on December 19, 2013 to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Debra Ann. He leaves behind a loving wife of 19 years Claudette Henderson of Huntsville, Texas; four daughters and two sons: Lorrie Haven of Houston, TX, Cheryl (Will) Swearingen of Splendora, TX, Chrysty Lu (Thomas) Payne of Donie, TX, Suzette Henderson of Conroe, Texas, Rick (Susan) Oestmann of The Woodlands, TX, Lee (Janet) Holland of Concord, Ark.; brothers, Bill(Jean) Henderson of Conroe, TX, James Henderson , Harold (Judy) Spitzer of Missouri, Ken (Elaine) Spitzer of Sandia, TX, Darrell (Frances) Spitzer of Corpus Christi, TX, sisters, Elaine(Tony) Glass of Austin, TX, Theresa (Clive) Abel of Humble, TX, Mildred Stump of Corpus Christi, TX, Doris Estes of Orange Grove, TX, and Karen Welch of Corpus Christi, TX. He leaves behind many grandchildren, and great- grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and great -nieces and nephews. Lloyd served in the U.S. Air Force, and after leaving the Air Force he was a rig welder until his retirement. He had many talents, he built a boat a gyrocopter, made neon signs, and wood works that he and Claudette sold together at car shows and flea markets. As a young man he would go to nursing homes and preach the Lords word. He has always served the Lord in many ways most of his life. He was truly loved by all and will be truly missed. He will have no more pain and suffering now that he is with the Lord in heaven. We Love You and Miss You. Serving as pallbearers are Harold Spitzer, Ken Spitzer, Darrell Spitzer, Will Swearingin, Justin Taylor and Thomas Payne; honorary pallbearers are Bill Henderson, Jimmy Henderson, Clive Abel, and Tony Glass. Funeral service will be held for Mr. Henderson Friday, December 27, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville, Texas with family receiving friends prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow the service in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas Friday, December 27, 2013, 1:45 p.m. Those wishing to leave memorial condolences for the family may do so at www.shmfh.com.
