Linda B. Brisher

Linda Beatrice Kipp Brisher, age 68, passed away at her home in Huntsville, Texas, on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, with her family and friend by her side. Linda was born on April 4, 1950, in Houston, Texas, to William Willis Kipp and Lorene Miller Kipp. She enjoyed an exciting life, full of fun and laughter; with a deep and never ending love for her family and friends…and a curiously endearing devotion and love for all things “Texas” and the Houston Oilers, in particular Mr. Ray Childress. Linda built a career as a Correctional Officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice at the Estelle Unit, where she retired from service on February 28, 2009. Linda most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and had a special fondness of spending time with her grandchildren. Abadee. Linda is survived by her husband, Jerry “Wency” Brisher; Son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Veronica Brisher; daughter, Scarlette Brisher; son, Charles Slay; grandchildren, Brittany, Dustin, David, Hanna, Cameron, Chloe, and Devin; great grandchildren, Madison, Adalyn, Brooklyn, Leigha, Landon, and Lana; siblings Scarlette Soape, Penny Knowlton, LaNell Worley, Tammy Ellison, and Dennis Kipp; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other special family members. Linda is also survived by her dear friend, Terri Madison; as well as special loved one, Shannon Kuenzer. The family would like to express thanks and appreciation to Terri and Shannon for their devotion to Linda through the years, and would also like to acknowledge that Terri and Shannon will always be considered family by the Brisher’s. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William Willis Kipp and Lorene Miller Kipp; brother, William D. Kipp; brother, Ricky Kipp; sister, Judy Hausler; brother, Joe Anderson, sister, Emma Faye Hill; niece, Christina Ann Soape Mackey; and nephew, Christopher Reed Kilpatrick. Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 10:00 am – 11:30 am; followed by the Service at 12:00 pm, at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, located at 10129 FM 1097W, Willis, Texas 77318; burial at Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery.
