Lillian Maxine Triplett

Lillian Maxine (Bowers) Triplett, 85 of Huntsville, Texas in Walker County, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2015. Maxine was born in Moscow, Idaho on November 10, 1930. She was the youngest of 9 children born to Edgar Alexander Bowers and Susie Jane (Rea) Bowers. She grew up on an apple orchard in the Boise, Idaho area. Family was always the most important thing to Maxine and she loved them very well. On December 26, 1964 Maxine married the love of her life, LeRoy Triplett and they were married for 48 years. They had 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandsons. Maxine was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking and gardening as well as traveling with friends and family. Maxine had many careers and always enjoyed her work and found it to be an important and rewarding part of her life. In 1972 she and her family moved to Huntsville, Texas. A few years later she began her career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, retiring after 20 years. For 18 years after their retirement Maxine and LeRoy traveled and spent their summers in South Fork, Colorado at Fun Valley Family Resort. Maxine is preceded in death by her loving husband, LeRoy Charles Triplett, her daughter, Sharon Laine Triplett, her parents, Edgar Alexander Bowers and Susie Jane (Rea) Bowers and all of her 8 siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-love Susan & Dennis Ellis of Huntsville, her son & daughter-in-love Troy and Leigh Ann Triplett of Spring, granddaughter & husband Kristin & Craig Jeffries, grandson & wife Casey & Melissa Ellis, granddaughter Lacy Elizabeth Triplett and grandson Lucas Caleb Triplett, great-grandsons Zachary, Ethan and Jonathan Jeffries and Dallas Ray Ellis and a host of wonderful, caring friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 Normal Park Drive in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Fellowship of Huntsville Church, 3895 State Hwy 30 West in Huntsville, Texas. Reverend C. F. Hazlewood will be officiating.
