Kenneth "Bo" Daniel

Kenneth Laroy “Bo” Daniel Bo Daniel of Montgomery, Texas was born in Taylor, Texas on December 12, 1946 and sadly passed away of a heart attack in Montgomery on February 2, 2006 at the age of 59. Bo will lie in state from 8am until 8pm., Monday, February 6 and family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery followed by interment at the New Montgomery Cemetery, Montgomery under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. Bo Daniel graduated from Aldine High School in Houston, Texas. In his younger years, he was an exceptional pole-vaulter and enjoyed driving his Malibu convertible to Galveston Beach with his surf board. He worked in the Houston Plumbers Local for 10 years before moving to Montgomery with his wife and daughter in 1975. At that time, he became self employed as a plumber, welder, taxidermist and a craftsman. Having lived in Montgomery for over 30 years, Bo was very well known and involved in the local heritage. Like his father, he was a true frontier cowboy at heart and a lover of a long forgotten way of life. He was introduced to ranch life at a very young age and was on a horse, working cattle, at the age of 7. Bo will be remembered locally as a builder of wagons and custom furniture, a blacksmith, a musician, an artist, an entertainer and a truly unique person in his own right. He was also known throughout the area for his involvement in the local barbeque cook-offs and was a member of the Texas Tradition Cookers. Camp Cooking to gourmet was a passion to Bo. Bo is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Tara & Craig Clouse of London, England; his twin granddaughters; Josey & Coco Clouse of London, England; his sister & brother-in-law; Gerald & Sandra Greer of Comfort, Texas; his brother, David Daniel of Montgomery, Texas; two nieces, one nephew, one great niece and four great nephews. Bo is also survived by his companion and love of his life; Bertha Ann Sharp and her children and grandchildren. Today we sadly say “farewell for now” to one of the most unique individuals that has ever lived. We love you Bo, and will celebrate your life until we will meet again.
