Julia Garcia Rodriguez July 28, 1939 - October 3, 2016 Julia Rodriguez went to meet her Lord & Savior on October 3, 2016, having lived her life to the fullest. She was born July 28, 1939 in Magnolia, Texas, to the late Bentura and Clemtne Garcia. She was 77 years old. Julia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was loved and adored by everyone she met (she never met a stranger). She stole the heart of her husband and best friend of 57 years, Lupe Rodriguez. Julia & Lupe were married on November 9, 1958 beginning a long, loving, and nurturing relationship Julia loved her family and was so proud of all of them. She loved when everyone was together, laughing and sharing memories. Her smile would say it all. She dearly loved her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, watching the "Days of our Lives" and just hanging around with her husband. She was a caring and loving person. She love the places that she was employed, she worked at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, Dr. T.C. Cole M.D. Sr. & Jr., Walker County J.P. 1 Walter Cooksey, Walker County Clerks Office & City of Huntsville Municipal Court. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Lupe Rodriguez. 3 children; son Rick Rodriguez, daughter Carolyn Rodriguez Sockwell & husband Jeff, daughter Jacqui Rodriguez Christ & her husband David. 2 granddaughters; Tehrah Sikes & her husband Jeremy, & Chelsea Christ. 4 grandsons; Alan Rodriguez, Ryan Sockwell, Davin Sockwell, & Corey Christ as well as 3 great-grandchildren; Brent Sowell, Talisa Rodriguez, & Sienna Rodriguez. 3 brothers; David Garcia & wife Lydia, Daniel Garcia, & Jessie Garcia & wife Rosalee. She was preceded in death by her parents & her sister, Isidro P. Martinez. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bilhartz, Huntsville Health Care & all of the ICU staff at HMH. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday October 5, 2016 from 5-7pm at Oakhurst Full Gospel Church, 451 FM 946, Oakhurst, TX, 77359. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday October 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at Oakhurst Full Gospel Church, 441 FM 946 South, Oakhurst, TX, 77359 In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in her memory go to the Oakhurst Full Gospel Church, 441 FM 946 South, Oakhurst, Tx. 77359
