Joseph Bryan Sheffield

Joseph (Joe) Bryan Sheffield, age 43 of The Woodlands, Texas went to his Heavenly home, December 14, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital of The Woodlands, Texas. Joe was born at Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena, Texas on June 27, 1973 to James Sheffield and Gloria Sheffield. Joe was a loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Grandson. He is preceded in death by grandfathers Utah Samuel Sheffield and James M. Thomason and grandmother Blanch Thomason. Joe is survived by his loving wife Carri; children Jacob, Brayden and Mason; mother Gloria Sheffield; father James Sheffield and wife Dora; brother Matt Sheffield and his wife Sandy; brother Jarrod Sheffield; sister Jennifer Madore and her husband Stephen; grandmothers Alma Emiline Sheffield and Charlene Evans; nephews Jaxson Madore, Justin Coe and wife Becky, Starvos “Stevie” Sheffield; niece Jessica Kegerreis and her husband Jon; great niece Elizabeth Coe. Joe is also blessed with numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joe attended elementary in La Porte, Texas and graduated from Midway High School in Waco, Texas in 1991. He attended The Art Institutes of Houston, Dallas & Denver. He was employed as a Manager at Meritage Homes at the time of his death. Joe previously served in management positions at Taylor Morrison Homes, TGI Fridays, Applebee’s, US Food Service in Waco, Austin and Houston, Texas. He also was recognized with many achievements and awards. Joe was a huge Steelers fan with a competitive spirit and loved to play disc golf. In his younger years he was an avid competitor in the BMX racing world, with hundreds of trophies that backed up his wins. On Sunday, December 18, 2016 the family will receive friends at 1:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 3:00 PM in the chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Dr. Bruce Webb of The Woodlands First Baptist Church in The Woodlands, Texas and Scott Hill will officiate over the funeral services. Following the service a reception will be held at Vintage Creek Center, off Gosling & 99, Spring Texas. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00pm at Pine Crest Cemetery in Atlanta, Texas, officiated by his Uncle Donald Sheffield, Pastor at Center Hill Baptist Church.
