It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather, Jorge Vazquez Martinez, who passed away on October 7, 2024 at the age of 51. He was a strong, hard-working, selfless man. He enjoyed fishing, drawing, and watching the Astros. Our father was an amazing hardworking man and a crucial part of our lives. He dropped us off at school every morning and made sure we had everything we needed. He talked our ears off about how important it was to work hard and make something out of ourselves. He was the king of tough love, but that’s the reason we are a strong independent young man and woman. Our father was a very private person, and throughout this process we are getting to know a whole new side of him, we are able to see how much he was loved by those around him. We will continue to honor him every day for the rest of our lives. He meant so much to us, and we will love him forever. We will always be with him and he will always be with us no matter how far. Visitation will be held on Friday October 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a service will be held Saturday October 12 at 2:00 PM, both at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, TX. Con profunda tristeza compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido padre, hijo, hermano y abuelo, Jorge Vazquez Martinez, quien falleció el 7 de octubre de 2024 a la edad de 51 años. Era un hombre fuerte, trabajador y abnegado. Le gustaba pescar, dibujar y ver a los Astros jugar. Nuestro padre era un hombre increíblemente trabajador y una parte crucial de nuestras vidas. Todas las mañanas nos dejaba en la escuela y se aseguraba de que tuviéramos todo lo que necesitábamos. Siempre nos inculcaba sobre lo importante que era trabajar duro y hacer algo con nosotras vidas. El era el rey del amor duro, pero esa es la razón por la que somos un hombre joven y una mujer fuertes e independientes. Nuestro padre era una persona muy privada y a lo largo de este proceso estamos conociendo un lado completamente nuevo de él, podemos ver cuánto lo amaban quienes lo rodeaban. Continuaremos honrándolo todos los días por el resto de nuestras vidas. Él significó mucho para nosotros y lo amaremos por siempre. Siempre estaremos con él y él siempre estará con nosotros sin importar lo lejos que estemos. El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 11 de octubre de 2024 de 5:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. y se llevará a cabo un servicio el sábado 12 de octubre a las 2:00 p.m., ambos en la funeraria Sam Houston Memorial en Huntsville, TX.
