JoAnne Boyle

JoAnne Boyle (Burns) JoAnne Boyle (Burns) was born in Philip, South Dakota on April 26, 1930 to Harry Burns and Bessie (Harvey) Burns. JoAnne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and treasured friend. She took the hand of Jesus on January 19, 2010 in Conroe, Texas at age 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob Burns and sister Janet Wellman. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Hugh Boyle; son David Boyle; daughter Janice Letbetter and husband Phil; granddaughters Lindsey Letbetter and Jamie Greer and husband Kirk; great-grandson Konnor Greer; sister Carol Purrington and numerous nieces and nephews. JoAnne worked for the City of Lovington, New Mexico and left to have her first born David. She went back to work after 12 years at Lea County Electric Coop in Lovington. Hugh and JoAnne resided in Lovington for 49 years. She was a member of St. Marys Episcopal Church in Lovington and a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Huntsville, Texas. She was involved with the Huntsville Newcomers, Huntsville Christian Women and Daughters of the King organizations. She loved playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family was always the center of her life and she cared for each and every one of them with unselfish abandon. She supported her children and grandchildren in everything they attempted throughout their lives and rejoiced in each of their accomplishments. Regardless of the situation JoAnne greeted everyone with a warm smile and her life was a true testimony of her deep faith in the living God and she has claimed her reward in the “mansion He prepared for her” and will dwell in Heaven forever. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010, 2:00 PM at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Huntsville, Texas with Father Jim Morgan and Rev. Reagan Cooksey officiating. The family requests in lieu of flower that memorial donations may be made to St. Stephens Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice.
