Jeff Allison Tucker Jeff Allison Tucker, beloved uncle died peacefully on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, Huntsville, TX. Jeff was born September 23, 1930 in Huntsville, the second son and child of Lud Rector Tucker and Annella Roten Tucker of Huntsville (deceased). His only sibling was, Lud Roten (Ziggy) Tucker (deceased). He graduated from Sam Houston State and went to work in the accounting section for the Texas Department of Corrections. He met and married Joy Humphrey Tucker (deceased) of Trinity in 1956. Most of their married life was spent in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. He retired from Lockheed Martin. In 1990 they returned to Huntsville. Uncle Jeff loved his model airplanes and flew them for many years. He and Aunt Joy lavished love on Heidi and Happy, their beloved dachshunds (deceased). Ziggy blessed him with a niece, Terri Young and husband Phil from Virginia and a nephew Nick Tucker (deceased). He showed no favorites and loved the Bell and Krenek kids as his own. All of us share in the many memories we have of them both. We also share the many gifts of themselves and other things they gave to all of us. The kids (nieces and nephews) are Patricia Bell Jolly (deceased), Carolyn Bell Florus, William Troy Krenek, Jerry Krenek, Joyce Krenek Gouldie, Roy Bell, Pam Krenek and Donna Bell Baker. He is also survived by his cousin Irmadene Cauthen of Huntsville. He is survived by all of his great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great niece and nephew. He will be missed by his friends and especially his 1947 HHS classmates. This cannot be concluded without mentioning Donna Bell Baker and her husband David and their daughters Calli Baker Dretke and her husband Ryan and Chelsea Baker. They were always there for both Aunt Joy and Uncle Jeff. The rest of us would stop by from our homes away from Huntsville, but Donna and her family helped him every day. They were more than a niece and her family to him. The family would like to thank Dr. David Toronjo and Dr. Karen Olson and their staff for the excellent care they gave to Uncle Jeff. We also send special thanks to the staff at Green Acres Nursing home, especially his favorite aide, Ms.Rosa. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Huntsville, Texas, on Friday, February 22, 2013. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 also at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. This will be followed by interment at Clapp Cemetery, Walker County.
