James Alan Hayes Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Hayes Jr., a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. James departed from this world on June 27, 2023, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. Born to Alan and Kristi Hayes on July 31st, 2005, James brought immense joy and laughter into their lives from the moment he arrived. He shared a special bond with his younger brother and best friend, Jonathan, and younger sister, Alivia, who will deeply miss their dear brother's presence and companionship. James was a true country boy at heart, finding solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a talent for playing the guitar and spent countless hours strumming his favorite melodies, filling the air with his soulful tunes. Whether it was around a campfire or at family gatherings, his music always added a touch of warmth and serenity to the atmosphere. A devoted family man, James held his loved ones close to his heart. He cherished the moments spent with his parents, siblings, and extended family, creating treasured memories that will forever be held dear. James had a remarkable ability to make those around him feel loved and appreciated, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his musical pursuits and family bonds, James had a passion for forging knives. He honed his skills and craftsmanship, creating unique and beautiful pieces of art. His dedication and attention to detail were evident in every blade he forged, leaving behind a legacy that will endure. James possessed an industrious spirit, embracing the value of hard work and dedication. Undertaking any project, he would approach each task with unwavering determination and commitment. His tenacity was an inspiration to all who knew him. Academically, James excelled as an honor roll student, always striving for excellence. He recently achieved a significant milestone by being inducted into the prestigious National Honors Society, a testament to his intelligence, hard work, and dedication. With his keen mind and passion for problem-solving, he harbored dreams of pursuing a career in engineering, an ambition that inspired those around him. James will forever be remembered for his quirky, charming, and gentleman-like personality. His infectious laughter and genuine kindness brightened the lives of all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He had a way of making people feel at ease, and his company was always a delight. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched. James Hayes Jr. leaves behind a grieving family, including his parents Alan and Kristi, his brother Jonathan, his sister Alivia, and his loving grandparents, Robert and Sharon Moss. As well as a large extended family. He will be sorely missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held on July 5, 2023 at First Montgomery Baptist Church, located at 20423 Eva St. Montgomery, TX 77356. Viewing will start at 9 A.M., followed by church service at 10 A.M. then we will travel to the graveside service. There will be a reception for close friends and family held at First Montgomery Baptist Church directly after the services.
