Glenys Juneau

After a long and joyful life spent surrounded by dear friends and family, Glenys Caryl Coppage Juneau joined her husband Bill, daughter Teresa, and granddaughter Hailey in everlasting life on November 27, 2007. Shortly after Glenys was born to Clara Fae and Albert Lavaughn Coppage, her family moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to West Texas. After leaving Breckenridge High School, Glenys married her loving husband of fifty-five years, Bill Juneau. She was the kind, gentle and loving mother to Albert Duane, Rodney Lane, Teresa Annette, Patrick Wayne, Perry, Christopher James, Laurie Elizabeth and Anthony Glen, all of whom survive her save Teresa. In June of 1966 the Juneau family moved to Willis, Texas. In 1973 Glenys began working for the Willis Independent School District in a clerical position. After a relatively short time she was made Food Service Director for the district. She held that position until she retired in 2000 after twenty-seven years of service. Glenys made friends quickly. She kept as many as possible and cherished them all. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched. She enjoyed bridge, dominoes, visiting, cooking, bossing, and even work as long as it could be done surrounded by loved ones. In addition to her own children she is survived by her sister Joy, and her niece Brenda. She leaves grandchildren; Rodney, Chris Broussard, Lizzie, Jillian, Christopher Harren, Paco, Falon, Eddie, Stephanie, Paige, Carly, Austin, Christa, Alyssa, Christian, Samuel, Sarah, Isaiah, Anna, Micha, and four great-grandchildren. Anyone who loved Glenys is invited to visit friends and family at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis on Friday, Nov. 30 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10 AM in the Chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, with interment following service when she will be laid next to Bill's side in Willis Cemetery.
