Frances E. Lambright

Frances Edna Lambright was born August 25, 1926 in Crescent, Missouri to Thomas Porter Dickey and Johnnie Frances Dickey. She departed this life on June 13, 2007 at Conroe, Texas where she had been a resident of Park Manor Nursing Home since October, 2006. In the early 1930’s, Frances moved with her family from Missouri to the Burkburnett, Texas area. She married B J “Bill” Lambright, and they moved to Pampa, Texas in the late 1940’s. Frances and Bill had two children, Patricia Ann Bolln and J D Lambright. While living in Pampa, Frances was an avid supporter of the Jr. High and High School bands, in which both Patricia and J D were percussionists. J D was also the drummer in the Pampa High School stage band, the “Swing Kings”. Frances was always in the stands at every football game, basketball game, or contest where the bands were playing. Frances had a long and enjoyable career in law enforcement as a police dispatcher. For several years, she worked at the Pampa Police Department until she moved to Houston, Texas in 1977. There she worked as a dispatcher for the Bellaire and later the Hedwig Village Police Departments. Following her retirement from Hedwig Village, Frances moved to Montgomery, Texas where she lived in Walden on Lake Conroe. She attended Walden Community Church and Lakeside Bible Church. Frances loved sports, and win or lose, her TV was always tuned to every game played by the Houston Astros and the Houston Rockets. Some of her most enjoyable times were when she would babysit for her beloved “granddog” Thunder, J D and Belinda’s Labrador Retriever, and caring for her cat Precious. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her five brothers, Samuel, Leon, Albert, Thomas, and Richard, and her two sisters, Rosie Mae Dickey and Marie Nolan. Survivors include her son, J D Lambright and his wife Belinda of Montgomery, Texas; and her daughter, Patricia Bolln and her husband Barry of Hilo, Hawaii. Memorial and inurnment services will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas.
