In Loving Memory of Ella P. Hoolahan October 17, 1953 - March 17, 2026 With heavy hearts and deep love, we honor the life of Ella: a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cherished friend, and guiding light to all who knew and loved her. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in God’s presence, embraced in eternal rest. Ella was a woman of remarkable warmth, strength, and faith. She had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for. Her kindness was effortless, her generosity boundless, and her selflessness evident in all she did. Whether through her comforting words, her infectious laughter, or the quiet ways she showed up for others, she left a lasting imprint on every heart she touched. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, always ready with a laugh or a lighthearted remark that could brighten even the heaviest of days. Her joy was contagious, and her spirit brought people together. Ella had many dear friends who loved her deeply, and she cherished those friendships throughout her life. Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She treasured every moment spent with her family, and time with her grandchildren brought her the greatest happiness. She gave endlessly of herself, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love that will continue to guide them throughout their lives. Ella shared nearly 47 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Dick Hoolahan: a partnership rooted in love, devotion, and unwavering commitment. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and enduring love. Her home was a place of comfort, filled with love, kindness, laughter, and familiar joys that made everyone feel welcome. Many of her children’s friends were embraced in the Hoolahan home over the years, loved and cherished by Ella. To so many, she became a second mother. Ella is preceded in death by her parents, Ruben Pineda Sr. and Cleotilde Martinez Pineda of Falfurrias, Texas; a sister, Ana Maria Pineda; and her three brothers: Ruben Pineda Jr., Isidoro Pineda, and Leonel Pineda. She is survived by her loving husband, Dick Hoolahan; her daughters, Kristina M. Hoolahan and Kathleen M. Hoolahan; her two sons, Patrick S. Hoolahan (Rachel) and Michael T. Hoolahan (Kristen); her beloved grandchildren, Connor, Delaney, Rowan, and Emmi Hoolahan; her brother, Oscar L. Pineda (Glenda); her sisters, Linda Perkins (Will) and Ana Vasquez (Pete); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her beyond measure. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find peace in the promise of eternal life and in the many beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely. She was deeply loved, and she will be forever missed. A celebration of Ella’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 31 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elkins Lake Clubhouse, 632 Cherry Hills Dr. in Huntsville, Texas.
