Donna Lynn Clegg

Donna Lynn Parker-Clegg was born to Johnny and Rosie Lee Parker on February 13, 1966 in Alvin, Texas and passed away peacefully with her husband and family at her side on March 4, 2022 at the age of 56. Donna attended Santa Fe schools from grades K-11; she then earned her GED and went on to Galveston College where she received certificates in business administration. Donna then went to work for The San Luis Hotel in Galveston for several years, next she went to work for First National Bank of Alvin for four years, Nolan Ryan at Express Bank of Alvin for eleven years, and lastly American National Insurance Co for 15 years at which time she retired on disability due to liver disease (NASH) issues. Upon retirement five years ago, Donna and her husband relocated to Huntsville, Texas Donna and Kent went to grade school together, on Friday's and Saturday's Cruised and raced each other down the local strip of Palmer Highway in Texas City; hanging out together listening to music and dancing. They were engaged on March 9, 1989 and Married on November 27, 1992 at Paul's Union Church in La Marque, TX. Donna was a wonderful, caring and generous person, always thinking of others before herself and always ready to lend a helping hand, she was always full of life and loved to be with her family who she always put first. She also enjoyed classic country, rock and hip-hop music, traveling, camping, fishing and antiques. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Johnny Jones Parker and Rosie Lee Parker, sister and Catherine Pauline Parker, grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Donna is survived by her husband of 34 years, Kent Clegg and her beloved service dog Toby, her siblings John Lee Parker (Rhonda) of Santa Fe, TX, Robert James Parker (Lori) of Santa Fe, TX, Elizabeth Cummins (Mark) of Noble OK, Deborah Stokesberry (Steve) of Santa Fe, TX, brothers-in-laws Kirk Clegg (Yvonne) of Friendswood, TX, Kevin Clegg of Santa Fe, TX, Kyle Clegg (Christine) of Maryville, TN, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 PM. Donna will be laid to rest with her family at Fields Store Cemetery in Waller, Texas. Graveside services will be officiated by Mark Cummins, Sr. Funeral arrangements are being entrusted to Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.
