Diana Lee Casburn

Diana Lee Casburn, 75, was granted her angel wings on November 5, 2020. Her final days were spent with her family right by her side at her home in Montgomery, Texas. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 7,1945 and moved to Texas with her family, as a young child. Diana, also known as Ma, Aunt Donna, or even Diane had touched so many people with her vivacious personality and contagious smile. She always presented herself in such a free-spirited, carefree manner to anyone she came in contact with. She touched the hearts of so many people throughout her life and made a very memorable impact on each and every one of them. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside, with a heart of gold. Most importantly, she loved you unconditionally. Diana Casburn, cherished wife of Dean Casburn for 44 wonderful years. Much loved mother of Judith Dudensing and husband Duane, Melanie Jasek and husband Brian, DJ Casburn and wife Rachel, Deana Prater and husband Jimmy, and Douglas Casburn and wife Angela. Cherished grandmother of Logan, Cade, and Jillian Casburn (DJ); Garrett, Kody, and Hydee Drake (Melanie); Kacie, Courtney, and Katelin Dudensing (Judith); Shelby, Taylor, Travis, and Justin Rudel (Deana); Troy, Michael, and Kyle Casburn (Douglas) as well as many great grandchildren. Dear sister of JoAnn Doerrig and late husband John, Joyce Templeton and late husband Joe, Jean Joyce and late husband Jim, and the late Don Lewis and wife Shirley. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her infant twin sister Mary, as well as her parents Walter H. and Hilda K. Lewis. She will always be remembered for her sweet and kind nature as well as her never give up attitude, especially the bravery and strength she showed till the very end. Diana/Mom/Ma will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Family, friends, and others whose lives Diana touched are invited to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and visit with the family on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The Memorial Service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in the chapel.
