In Loving Memory of Carl Bryan Wiggins January 22, 1947 – April 19, 2025 Carl Bryan Wiggins was born on January 22, 1947, in Houston, Texas, to Clara and Curtis Wiggins. He passed from this life on Saturday, April 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of humility, kindness, service, and quiet strength. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda and children: Will Wiggins, Wade Wheatley, Wendee Wheatley, Stephanie Holcomb, and Leslie Brocken. Grandchildren Wren & Truitt Wiggins, Stefano Salazar, Nicholas Popp, Shelby Popp-Ellis, Lane, Ashton & Whitney Smith, Olivia Leyendecker and Reid Wheatley. One great granddaughter Brookelyn. He is also remembered with love by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends who were deeply impacted by his life. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Curtis Wiggins, and by his beloved siblings: A.W. (Sonny) Wiggins and wife Mary Katherine, Larry C. Wiggins, Sr. and wife MariGene, Earl Wiggins and his sister Mignonne Wiggins McCann. He is survived by his brother-in-law, John Phillip McCann and sister-in-law Mary Wiggins. Bryan proudly served his country as a Navy veteran and built a respected career as a control’s specialist for various power companies. Known for his integrity and calm demeanor, he carried a sweet smile and never compromised what is right. In retirement, Carl continued to serve his community as a property tax consultant and principal of Appraisal Protest LLC. He remained sharp, engaged, and deeply committed to helping others navigate the system with fairness and clarity. Carl found joy in the simple things. He was a devoted Houston Cougar football fan, never missed an Astros game, and had a deep love for Texas country music. He cherished his time “piddling” with anything mechanical fixing, tinkering, and improving whatever he touched. He especially loved clear mountain mornings, where the peace and beauty of the outdoors reflected his gentle and reflective nature. Celebration of Life A memorial service celebrating Carl’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home at 1700 Normal Park Dr, Huntsville, TX, at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carl’s memory to a charity of your choice.
