Billy Earl Allen

Billy Earl Allen, age 90, went home to be with the LORD on April 3, 2011, at his home in Montgomery, Texas. He was born June 2, 1920 in Italy, Texas. Billy graduated from Streetman High School and served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a great athlete, playing softball for his A&R division for the Navy. He worked in the construction industry most of his adult life, owning his own sheet rocking business early on, then as a contract superintendent later. Billy served the Lord in his quiet, steadfast manner, leading his family more by example than his words. He was a loving husband and the greatest Daddy in the world. Nothing meant more to Bill Allen than his family. Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Chloe; his parents, Stump and Ila Allen; brothers, Harold, Kenneth, Thomas, and James Robert Allen; sons, Billy Michael and Danny Ray; and granddaughter-in-law, Morgan Strader. He is survived by his daughters; Bettye Strader and husband Scooter, Martha Martin and husband Bob; daughter-in-law, Greta Allen; daughters, Janina Petty and husband Bill, Jeanne Davis and husband Mike; his son, David Allen and wife Karla; grandchildren, Mark, Mike, Marty and Matthew Strader, Rob Martin and wife Angie, Kim Navarro and husband Joe, Chris Allen, Allison Nelson and husband Matt, Jennifer Strunk and husband Phillip; Michelle Stone, Michael Davis and wife Amy, Nathanael Petty and wife Emily, Dannye Petty, Pamela Swem and husband Will, Kenneth Allen and Melissa Allen. Also surviving are 20 beloved great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pall Bearers will be Mark Strader, Mike Strader, Marty Strader, Matt Strader, Rob Martin, Chris Allen, Michael Davis, Nathanael Petty and Kenny Allen. Honorary Pall Bearers are Joe Navarro, Matt Nelson, Phillip Strunk and William Swem. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Dacus Baptist Church, 5403 North FM 1486 Montgomery, Texas. Luncheon will be held prior to service starting at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow services at Garden Park Cemetery, Conroe, Texas.
