Barbara Ann Miller

Barbara Ann Miller born March 1, 1943, age 77 a lifelong resident of Huntsville, surrounded by her children went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 16, 2020. Ms. Miller was born and raised in Huntsville, she is the daughter of Curtis Lloyd York, Sr. and Irma Lee Morgan Brooks. Ms. Miller was best known as Memaw, Barbara Ann, Ma Miller, Sissy, and Aunt Barbara and of course MOM and MOMMA. She was loved by many and people always commented on her beautiful blue eyes and smile and will be remembered as one of the sweetest ladies you'd ever meet. Ms. Miller was a single mother of four children, she worked very hard and raised her children to be who they are today. She would tell others "I have the best kids", and we were all her favorites! She began her career at Sam's Grocery, and later joined Safeway and after many years of service retired. After her retirement she began working for her sons Joe and O.B. Miller at Miller's Texaco, Miller's Auto Supply and most recently Martinez Heavy Truck. She enjoyed being with her sons each day, especially when lunch time came around. She lived a colorful life, she loved reading, loved to travel with family and friends, in fact she would call her daughters Brenda and Robbie and say "It's time to go somewhere, let’s make a plan", going gambling with any and all who wanted to go, she loved live concerts mostly old country artist and everyone knew she was the No. 1 fan of The Mixed Review. One of the fondest memories that her grandchildren have was “Memaw Night” or just the special times each one had with her, these memories have been told many times and will continue for years to come. She knew the meaning of being a friend and therefore friendships were special to her. The stories these friends could tell, will be remembered as fond and precious memories. She is survived by her four children, Brenda Slott and husband Larry, Robbie Ginsel and Ben Hollek, Joe Miller and wife Debbie, and O.B. Miller and wife Anne. Brother Curtis York and wife Kathy of California. Ms. Miller was blessed with ten Grandchildren; Jami Slott, Callie Blunt and husband David, Meaghan West and husband Joseph, Joshua Bay and Karen Bennett, Jessica Smith and husband Donnie, Jackalyn Cauthen and husband Billy, Lauren Hollek and Phil Robbins, Chance and Grant Miller, and Katelyn Owens and husband Trey. Ms. Miller is also survived by her twenty five Great-Grandchildren; Brooke and Case Blunt, Mya Slott and Haley Giles, Cara Woods and husband Jeff, Lissette Nunez, Gavin, Riley, Sophia, Dalton and Jay Bay, Kaden Roberts; Bradley and Caressa Bay, Danielle Bennett, Grayson and Gracie Marsinko; Peyton, Parker and Prestyn Carranza, Cade Smith; James, Lilly and Olivia Cauthen, and Jane Alice Owens. Ms. Miller is also survived by her two Great-Great-Grandchildren Walker and Casen Woods, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Franklin Coleman her son-in-law LaVoyd Ginsel and grandson Joseph Danford Bay.
