Peggy Ramona (Keen) Laramore, Mimi to her grandkids, passed from her earthly home on January 11, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born, January 5, 1938, in Lufkin, TX; the second daughter to Eustice and ST (Primrose) Keen. A creative force and lover of life, left us with a legacy of beauty and joy. Her journey was marked by a colorful tapestry of endeavors, reflecting the depth of her passion and talents. With a keen eye for beauty, Peggy owned and operated a gift store and a floral shop. Her creativity blossomed like the flowers she arranged, leaving a lasting impact on all who entered her charming spaces. The beauty she created extended beyond the walls of her store; she was an expert florist, infusing life and vibrancy into every arrangement. Her adventurous spirit led her to exciting places, fueled by her love for travel. She embraced new experiences and cultures, carrying the essence of each journey back to share with those she held dear. In her professional journey, Peggy made a significant mark at NASA, contributing to the exploration of the great unknown. Her time at NASA symbolized her curiosity and determination to reach new heights, both in her career and in life. A woman of many talents, Mimi also completed trucking school, showcasing her resilience and determination. She could be as stubborn as a mule, but that determination fueled her success. Behind her strong exterior was a gourmet chef, delighting our taste buds with culinary masterpieces. Her prowess extended beyond the kitchen; she was an expert interior decorator, transforming spaces into expressions of warmth and style. For those fortunate enough to be in her circle of love, they experienced her as a dedicated celebrator of life's moments. Whether it was a birthday, achievement, or a simple gathering, Peggy poured her heart into making each occasion special for those she held close. Above all, Peggy cherished her family, showering love upon her nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on not only in the beauty she created but in the love and warmth she shared with each generation. As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Peggy for the vibrant, creative, and loving soul she was. May her spirit continue to inspire us to embrace life's adventures, celebrate our achievements, and find beauty in every corner. She was predeceased by her parents and her younger sister, Sue McGaughey. Peggy is survived by her son Mark Neisig and his wife Irene and his children Emily and Andrew; her daughter Jamie Wilder and husband Randy and their children Sheridan (Dustin), Macy (Kevin), Brittany (Michael), Robert (Kaitlyn) and Bethany; and her great-grandchildren Keagan, Hunter Grace, Emilia, Sutton and Finley. Peggy is also survived by her sister, Annette Doucette and husband Alton and her nieces and nephew.
