Michael Ducharme

Michael V. Ducharme, 73, gained his angel wings on 2/16/2025 @ 2:32 pm. Michael was born 4-20-1951 in Sanford, Maine to Leo and Lucille Ducharme. He grew up in Dover, New Hampshire. By the age of 12 he was working at a bicycle shop fixing bikes in which started his love of being a mechanic. The family moved to Texas in 1968. Graduated in 1969 from Milby High School in Northshore, Texas. Shortly after he graduated, he worked several years as a mechanic in Houston Texas before opening his own shop in Conroe Texas for the next 38 years. He retired last year. He was diagnosed in May 2024 with Small cell Lung cancer. He fought like a mule through the chemo and radiation. He was a fighter not a quitter for sure. He had a heart bigger than the world full of gold. He was a caring, loving, hardest worker around, strong-willed, tough, knew no stranger, and a one of a kind for sure. He loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, riding around on his tractor, mowing on his zero-turn mower, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved his family and friends very much even when you did not think he loved you, he did. He was filled with pure happiness each time a family member or friend walked into his hospital room his last few days on earth. Even though he knew it was his last few days he made it easier on us all to get through this time. He was still telling old stories and jokes up to Saturday night when he went to sleep. He was survived by his wife, Holly Ducharme. His daughter, Michelle Schultz, her husband Gary Schultz, and his granddaughters Morgean and Mckayla Schultz. His stepson Anthony Viator and family, stepdaughters Courtney and Brandi Viator. His brothers, Richard, Bruce, Dwayne, David, Barry Ducharme also his sister, Sheila Futch. Several nephews, nieces, other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Lucille Ducharme. His sister, Cheryl Grimes, brothers, Gary and Donald Ducharme. Great niece, Kymber Kroll. His neice, Amy and nephew, Chad. Along with many friends.
